This is my latest scratchie, a female grizzly adolescent just hanging around. She may be daydreaming of honey......or contemplating the worries of the world.
This is 12x16 and is available for purchase. Please contact me at sues.art@gmail.com.
Coy is this girl as she challenges you to guess her secrets.Done on 12x9 black scratchboard, she has been entered into an exhibition sponsored by the International Guild of Realism. I will know soon if she is accepted. If so, she cannot be sold except through the exhibition to be held in September.
Reference photograph was taken by Debbie Major who most graciously gave her permission for me to use in this rendition. Her website is http://www.dmajorphotography.com/. Thank you, debbie!!
Cougar Eyes is done on black scratchboard, 11x14, and has been accepted along with Calf in Light and Stalking Lion Cub into the exhibition held in July sponsored by International Society of Scratchboard Artists. It is a great honor to be chosen to display at the exhibition.

Born and raised in the West, I have always been drawn to the cowboy and the Western environment.
My acrylic paintings and scratchboard art try to capture the essence of the moment from the teen cowboy who has lost his chance at a buckle to the yawning lazy horse to the rodeo bull awaiting his chance to explode in the arena.
I have been an artist almost all of my life and thoroughly enjoy interpreting my visions of nature-in-the-raw as well as the nature in your home (pets).
From my art being displayed in the San Diego Museum of Art as a teen, winning countless blue ribbons and reserve sweepstakes at county fairs to placing first at the Utah State Fair, my life has been full and rewarding.
